Back Ground : It is a general observation that most of the students seeking admission to under graduate courses are average or below average in their academic performance. Further, it is also found that they lack:

  • Self Confidence
  • Sincere Efforts
  • Motivation
  • Positive Attitude
  • Facing Challenges
  • Thirst for Knowledge
  • Indentifying the Potential in our self
  • Guidance from appropriate Sources
  • Clear out Goals or Objectives for Achievements

As a result , these young boys and girls pass out from the college with a degree but with no vision , though efforts are being made ‘to do something ‘ in this field Rotary Club of Venugram Belgaum decided to make sincere and consolidated efforts by adopting a group of thirty students from B.Sc. Part I of B.K.College Belgaum for a period of three years from June 2016 to May 2019
Dr. D.N.Misale Principal , B.K.College. Belgaum has upheld the idea and has extended his full co-opration in the fulfillment of the project. Rtn. K.V. Patil who has experience in this field has accepted to shoulder the responsibility of the project while Prof A.G.Kalkhambkar from B.K.College will be the Mentor of the Group.

The project will be carried out under the name of “UNITY FOR VISION”.
UNITY FOR VISION is an outgoing activity started in the year 2007 and in 3 years project for the same batch of students fron B.Sc. Part I to B.Sc. part III . This is fourth batch succession , to achive the goal . The action Plan covering varioous aspects has been prepared & being implemented phase wise.

Objectives :

A group of thirty students of B.Sc. Part I of B.K.College , Belgaum is adopted by the Rotary Club of Venugram for a period of three years from June 2016 to May 2019 with the aim of , supervising in achieving multidimensional growth along with their academic fulfilment with the Vision that, these students will not only be degree holders in May 2019 , but also Self-reliant citizens.

Structure:

The Group “Unity for Vision ” will fuction as a team and each member will Seek some responsibility or the other.

Leader:

To develop the leadership qualities , the team will have its leader.The post will be for a period of two months and will be rotating, so that each member will get an opportunity to lead.

Leader Effect :

The team will also elect incoming leader for the next part of the tenure so that he/she will prepare oneself accordingly.

Committees:

To delegate the responsibilities the leader will involve all the students by forming various committees such as

  1. Finance
  2. Public Relation
  3. Academic Progress Record
  4. Correspondence and Contacts.
  5. Arrangement of Meeting / Workshop / visits /Functions special classes etc.

Activities conducted for academic year  2022-23

  1. The Unity for vision has organized Farewell function to 2019-22 batch & Inaugural function  to  2022-2025 batch student on 14th nov 2022. Rtn. Umesh Ramgurwadi (President Rotary club of Venugram ,Belgaum), Rtn. Shantilal Porwal , Rtn. Sanjeev Deshpande, Rtn. K. V. Patil, Rtn. Bhimesn Tekkalaki were present for this function.
  2. Unity for vision has organized student interaction with the members of first batch of UFV (2003-06) on 26th November 2022.  Vidya Ghanati & Shri. Mahesh Patil, alumni of unity for vision group interacted with the students & shared their views on importance of time, soft skills, and confidence.
  3. Students of unity for vision have visited Health Science Exhibition organized by Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Belgaum on 30th November 2022.
  4. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture on “Stress Management” on 10th December 2022 by guest speaker Miss Aishwarya Patil, Counselling Psychologist Sumana Psychiatry Center, Belgaum.
  5. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture on 31st December 2022 by Rtn. Mrs. Geeta  Prakash, Manager Canara Bank  &  Amit M. K. , Senior manager Canara Bank  Mr. Amit M.K. on  “Day to day Banking: A practical guide”
  6. Students of Unity for vision have visited KLE radio center, JNMC campus, Belgaum on 10th august 2023.

Activities conducted for academic year  2023-24

  1. The Unity for vision has organized Guest Lecture on 26th july 2023 by Rtn. Mr. Vijay Patil on Financial planning and investor awareness.
  2. Students of unity for vision have visited Lomax old age home, Syndicate colony, Ganeshpur. on 2nd September 2023. Students had distributed fruits and biscuits to the elderly people who are staying there.
  3. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture on “Benefits of solar energy on 18th December 2023 by Guest speaker Rtn. Lokesh Hongal on solar energy.
  4. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture “Higher studies in healthcare sciences after B.Sc. on 22nd December 2023 by Urmila Kagal, Professor of Pharmacology and Principal , School of Allied Health Sciences, KAHER, Belgaum have talked about what job opportunities students will have if they pursue higher education in life sciences. Dr.Mubashir Angolkar, Professor and Head, Dept. of Public Health, KAHER, Belgaum gave information about P.G. studies in public health services and what job prospective students will get after studying it. Further Prof. Abhijit Bhatkal prof. Dept. Of Biotechnology KAHER, Belgaum explained about P. G course in biotechnology.
  5. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture “Say no to drugs on 12th January 2024 by Dr Vishwas yadwad Assist Prof. JNMC, Belgaum.
  6. Students of unity for vision have visited the sadh sangat gurudwara, Tilakwadi, Belgaum on 05th February 2024.
  7. Unity for Vision has organized special guest lecture for female students on “Menstrual health and care on 28th June 2024 by Dr. Kavita P. Godadavar Senior Resident, KLE hospital, Belgaum.
  8. Unity for Vision has organized guest lecture on the topic “environment and livelihood in rural areas” by Mr. Sameer majhali the founder of Green savior NGO. on 12th July 2024.
  9. Students of unity for vision have visited fire station, Goaves, Belgaum on 19th July 2024.
