  • Best Practice No. 1
    1. Title of the Practice: HOME VISIT SCHEME
    2. Objectives of the Practice: The scheme is aimed to encourage the students to interact with teachers and for teachers to understand the socio-economic problems of the students.
    3. The Context: Since most of the students belong to rural and poor background the college wants to know their needs. The students are in need of academic, personal and social support.
    4. The Practice: Under this scheme, every year, 30 students are selected who belonged to rural and economically weaker section. Principal and teaching staff members visit their homes and interact with the students and their parents about the financial background of the family, their child’s interests, strengths and weaknesses etc. The students are given necessary guidance and motivated to pursue higher education. A set of books and other requirements like calculator, dictionary etc are provided. The students are assured of academic, social and personal support. Some staff members have contributed the fees of needy students of the entire course.
    5. Evidence of Success: The students selected under this scheme feel personal touch of the teachers and there is a drastic change in the overall personality of the students.
    6. Problems encountered and resources required: The sufficient number of books need to be purchased every year by the library for which resources are generated.

  • Best Practice No. 2
    1. Title of the Practice: ADHAR JYOTI SCHEME
    2. Objectives of the Practice: To extent financial support to the students who have lost either of parents or both.
    3. The Context: Majority of the students admitted in our college belong to economically backward class. When a survey was made about students’ social and family background it was found out many of them did not have either of parents or both and it was unable for them to support their ward. Keeping this in view, Principal and his staff thought of this new scheme to help such students. Under this scheme ₹ 2000/- each is given to such needy students.
