NCC

NCC Army Wing was started in our college in the year 1977. Initially it was under 25 Kar, Bn, NCC Belagum. After 10 yrs, it was transferred to 26 Kar, Bn, NCC. The strength of our unit is 100 (Including 33 % for girls).
The first Coy Commander of our Unit was Maj. B. B. Bhairappanavar. He served in NCC for 25 yrs. During his tenure many cadets joined the Defence service.
Capt. S. N. Patil took charge as NCC, Coy Commander in the year 2002 after retirement of Major B.B.Bhairappanavar. He served in NCC for 15 yrs during his tenure many cadets joined the Defence service. Under guidance of Capt. Patil, One Cadet Capt. Vishal Rakshe becomes an Officer in the Indian Army through NCC quota from our College in the 2005.
Lt. Amit Shivaji Chingali took charge as Coy Commander in the year 2017 after promotion of Capt S.N.Patil as Principal of the College. Under guidance of Lt. Amit Chingali, every year at least 10 % of Cadets are joining in the Defence services.
Every Year 5 to 6 cadets are selected for Thal Sena Camp (TSC) and Pre-RDC from our college.
In addition to these achievements all our NCC cadets have shown keen interest in all NCC activities. For all glorious achievements I thank Principal, Staff and Non-teaching faculty of our college for their support and co-operation.

ACTIVITY REPORT 2016 – 17

This year our NCC Army wing enrolled 53 new cadets, among them 38 Boys (SD) and 15 Girls (SW). The detail of NCC activities for the academic year 2016-17 is as under.

  1. 06 Boys and 04 Girls cadets attended Basic Leadership Camp (BLC) held at Mysuru from June- July 2016.
  2. 02 Girls successfully completed Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC) held at Jorhat, Assam from Nov- Dec 2016.
  3. 06 boys and 04 girls’ cadets attended National Integration Camp (NIC) held at Kodagu from 14-25 Oct., 2016.
  4. 05 SW & 02 SD participated TSC – IGC -2016.
  5. Cpl. Shridhar Marrennavar participated IGC –RDC at Bangalore.
  6. NCC Officer Capt. S. N. Patil Successfully Completed Refresher course at Kamptee (Nagpur) from 31.10.2016 to 29.11.2016.

ACTIVITY REPORT 2017 – 18

During the academic year 2017-18, our NCC Army wing has enrolled 48 new students for 1 st year out of which 36 were boys & 12 Girl cadets. Two SD cadets & Two SW cadets were selected for IGC Thal Sena Camps held at Bellari and Belgaum respectively. 05 SD Boys are attended NIC camp which was held at Medikeri. Sr. U. O. Triveni Bhosale participated Shooting competition camp held at Bangalore. Cdt . Jyoti Bagekari Cadet of our college, secured 1 st place at all India Malvankar Camp held at Mumbai. Two SD cadets participated Trekking Camp held at belgaum. Nearly 45 cadets completed their respective camps held at Belgaum.
Apart from this, all our Cadets shown keen interest during awareness for Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and other cleanliness’ rally’s. Cadets also participated during pulse polio vaccination, anti drug and AIDs awareness rallys . I would like to thank Principal and all faculty of our college for their moral support.

  5. 4 cadets attended Army Attachment Training with HQ AOC Center, Secunderagad
  6. 4 cadets attended SHIVAJI TRAIL TREK Camp held at Kolhapur.
  7. 01 cadet attended leadership camp held at Alva College, Mangalore
  8. To conclude all the Cadets had shown sparking performance during CATC Camps held at Belgaum.
